This part of Back to the future III makes me sad all the time. Re-watching again and again and again in disbelief that they actually destroyed it, thinking that I would be immune to that scene after a while. Since 1995 it still give me the feels...What's the saddest car related scene you ever saw Oppo?

First thought: Dirty Mary Crazy Larry. I'll say no more in case there are any innocent Oppos out there who haven't seen it.

The end crash in the Vanishing Point remake.
Don't quite know why, but it just seemed to perfectly capture that despair of realizing that you aren't going to make it.

Watching that Charger in Fast and Furious 1 get wrecked was pretty bad.

See I wasn't a fan of the remake at all for that scene. It completely changed the meaning of the movie: Kowalski smiled in the original Vanishing Point because he wasn't going to make it. Even though he clearly wasn't going to get through, the gap between the bulldozers symbolized his desire to be free and that there's always an escape. Having Kowalski be fearful of his own demise kind of changed the whole theme of the film. Maybe that's just me. Still wasn't too bad of a movie though.

How come I don't remember that scene? That was a pretty harsh accident there! Glad he made it alright.

Not a movie, but during one of Kelly Clarkson's music videos, I wanted to jump through my TV and take the knife instead of watching her beat up that innocent Shelby GT500 Eleanor.

I'm still pissed...I wanted them to escape :(

They used the car for more shooting after that, too. Just pulled the fender away from the tire and kept filming.
Like to see literally any modern car do the same.
AIRBAGS! WRITE OFF! end scene.

Back when I was a kid, I was like...oh it's a Z4 with a 8 cylinder getting cut, nothing special (I hated the Z4 when I was a kid). Now that I know exactly what a Z8 is and love it...

They're too dependent on CGI also which kills everything IMO. It's actually the first time in a good while that I seen a crash that makes me think "wait...that wasn't plan, is he alright?". The only other scene that made me think that was this one with the Corvette.

How can you care about a glimpse of underwear, they busted Benny's tires! Monsters.

There are actually quite a few examples of genuine car-stunts which had an outcome the producers, directors, etc didn't expect which, being more "shocking" made the final cuts of many films.
One I wish they'd shot again was the big jump in the remake of Gone In 60 Seconds, where the 2nd Eleanor comes down hard and you can see the frame bend, then it just drives away. For guys and gals who have a clue about cars, that kind of stuff just kills it. I mean, I can't tell you how many times I've said, "There's no way those Duke boys are driving away from this one."

Can't find the video of the explosion but as I recall they blow up a 993 rs, 355, jag, and a gt40 in Die Another Day - Bond. Seen here at 1:14 I think.

You will happy to find out that the Ferrari(s) used in the film were all replicas. The one that was kicked out of the garage was a poorly built replica with a Ford V8.

There were three replicas used, built by a specialist called Modena. The one kicked out the window was actually restored and sold at auction in Monterey this summer for $235,000.

Oh thanks for that information. Could that make it the worlds most expensive replica?
